Four Essential Products for UX Design [2019]
When designing a product or website, you want the right tools to help you get the job done faster. These four products are essential in any designer’s UX and UI design toolkit.
1. Sketch
Sketch is the de facto app for UI and UX Design right now. With endless art boards, vector art, intuitive export formats, and easy plugins, Sketch has managed to be the leader in creating stunning designs.
Sketch is only available for Mac. Buy it now for $99. Free trial available
2. Marvel App
Marvel App and it’s competitor Invision, are the leaders in creating easy to use clickable prototypes for users to test, designers to convey an interaction, and engineers see an end to end flow.
Marvel App has multiple tiers including a Free Tier.
3. The Noun Project
The Non Project is the essential website for finding the right icon. Of course, you could design the icons yourself, but quick iterations often require prioritizing UX Flows over the creation of a custom icon.
The Noun Project icons are free to use with attribution. Pro version allows you to download an unlimited amount of icons per month.
4. Balsamiq
Balsamiq Mockups is a rapid wireframing tool that helps you Work Faster & Smarter. It reproduces the experience of sketching on a whiteboard but using a computer.
Making mockups is fast. You’ll generate more ideas, so you can throw out the bad ones and discover the best solutions.
Balsamiq Mockups 3 is $89 for a user (lifetime). There is also a web version that has a per-month pricing.
